Hey everyone, this is another video that I made with my close friends. They are one of the reasons why I continue to push myself to become a better dancer. They are aspiring choreographers/dancers themselves. I continue to do my best to improve in dance by keeping a positive mind. Each new dance video posted will be different every time, how? by showing how much I have improved. I am still learning my craft and learning how to “dance” and not just do dance moves. It’s been a while since i posted something on YouTube that was my own. I’ve really been focusing on the team as a whole and promoting me fellow teammates through concepts and classes. I had the privilege to teach Culture Shock San Diego last night, and thought this would be the perfect piece to teach and record!! I’ve always been drawn to the Electro house/Dubstep sound. People sometimes say “You can’t feel that music” or “It just looks like your doing moves.” I completely disagree with that. Everyone’s taste in music is different, when i hear songs like this, it automatically makes me wanna move, I hear it for more then just wobbles and crazy random sounds. I have been staying away from Dubstep lately so I could expand and grow as a choreographer but I’ll always feel comfortable coming back and doing a fun piece like this, to the music I enjoy. Shout out to Jon and Sin for assisting me and Adrian for coming out. The Prototypes will performing this weekend at Beyond the Beat, catch this show and support the amazing caue behind the show. My first routine going into this new year. I fell in love with this song while my sister and i were coming home from Northridge. The words of the song struck a place in my heart . I have always thought to myself to be a loving and caring person & i have learned that i have always put myself before others. This song put me back on my choreography game, I honestly feel rusty as heck but it feel so good to be making pieces from my heart. This video is from my 2nd & 3rd round of teaching this routine… Each time i taught it, i had always changed something about it. My main focus on this piece was that I wanted them to feel the lyrics of the song. I took Rihanna’s part as me talking to someone and Drake’s verse as them talking back to me. i dont know if you can get the feel for it or understand it, but i do hope you enjoy it & a special thank you to all my ladies from Elusive & Academy of Swag that learned this piece and did the video, it means alots <3
